My favorite widgets are ones that add value and interest to my readers like: Andertoons cartoons (that change daily), trendspotters - that provide a link to cool trends, I also love the suggestion widgets, which are little bite sized samples of an application, or the bloglog widgets that show pictures. I'd recommend that you have some branding questionnaire or poll or something that we can interact with as a widget. The point of the widget is to give readers a taste of an experience with you.
