More and more of my business associates are asking me about blogging, social media, and how to get started. Instead of asking “why”, they’re asking “how.”
I’m taking several steps to stay ahead of the curve. One of them is SOBCon ’08.
I’m really looking forward to the Successful and Outstanding Bloggers Conference ’08 on May 2, 3, 4 in Chicago. Great speakers, motivating concepts and massive amount of take-away hands on how to’s and what to do’s last year made it an incredible event last spring and a “don’t miss” for me this year. The relationship building was probably the best part.
Although the Blogger Social is just the month prior, I can’t get away for both events, so I selected Chicago’s SOBCon ’08 over NYC’s Blogger Social. Although I really enjoy the social aspect, the SOBCon’08 is actually a Biz School for Bloggers with sessions on Friday, Saturday and even Sunday this year. I’m curious about the SpeedSpeaking presentations 20 slides in 5 minutes.
Questions I’m asking myself:
- What do I want to learn?
- Who do I want to network with?
- How can I stay focused & not get overwhelmed with everything?
- What will be the major take-aways this year?
- How can I best prepare?
