I think Marketers blog for several reasons. I know this is why I like to blog:
1) it’s fun.
2) it keeps me learning.
3) it forces me outside of my comfort zone.
4) it helps me stay creative.
5) it gives me a way to express my thoughts and keep them organized.
Laurence Helene of Blog ’til You Drop, a UK blog about Marketing, Advertising, Branding and Blogging asked me why I blog. Now I pose the question to you: why do you blog? Even if you’ve answered this question before, take 5 minutes and jot down your answers… tag back so I can read your response.

Few that I can think of:
- Discharge an urge to share.Feel good.
- “You know, I know this too”
- Share notes on hobbies and interests
- Good escape from work pressure
- Many people feel lonely even in an overpolulated world!
- Make money(either through ads or to exchange ideas that can lead to business possiibilities)
Personal Benefits:
I’m new to the blogging world and have found that participating in discussion is much more fulfilling than just taking info from web pages. It’s fun to engage other thinkers and swap ideas. And when you’re ‘in the game’ by putting your own thoughts out there, you really appreciate when you find good content from someone else.
Business Benefits:
Blogging is a good way to generate relevent content for search engines. Participating in discussion is a form of networking that can generate new opportunities. Providing solid content for customers can add value to your relationship and improve loyalty.
